Auwalu Ahmed Dankade, an employee at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, has been praised for his honesty after returning $10,000 he discovered while cleaning an Egyptian aircraft.

According to Dankade, who spoke with correspondents of a news outlet, his actions were driven by a desire to please Allah.

The significant sum, equivalent to around N15 million, was found on Wednesday and promptly reported to his manager, ensuring its safe return to its rightful owner.

“I have been trained not to take what does not belong to me. Anything you take unlawfully, you will be held accountable for in the hereafter.

“My parents taught us to be content with whatever we have, and this upbringing made it easy for me to return the money,” said Dankade in a telephone interview with Daily Trust.
