Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, popularly known as Winners Chapel, has reiterated his lifelong commitment to building 1,000 churches before leaving the earth. In a recent sermon, the revered cleric shared his unwavering dedication to fulfilling this spiritual mission, which he vowed to Jesus even before opening his first bank account.

Speaking to his congregation, Bishop Oyedepo emphasized that his pledge was born out of a deep desire to serve God tangibly and leave a lasting impact through church planting. “Before I had a bank account, I made a covenant with God,” he stated. “I told Jesus, ‘If you ever bless me, I want to be a part of building new churches.’ And I meant it.”

Over the years, Bishop Oyedepo’s ministry has expanded into a global network with thousands of branches across Nigeria and beyond. However, he remains steadfast in his mission, declaring, “I don’t want to come to heaven without a thousand churches built in your name.”

Encouraging his congregation to reflect on their own commitment to service, Bishop Oyedepo urged worshippers to utilize their resources for religious and social good. “Some people have buses parked at home on Sundays, but they won’t bring them out to convey others to church,” he remarked, reinforcing the importance of spiritual responsibility.
