In a powerful and emotional interview on Talk to B with Biola Bayo, Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo shared her shocking experiences with rape, revealing that she was victimized five times. With unwavering courage, she spoke out against rape apologists, emphasizing her zero-tolerance stance on the horrific crime.

Iyabo Ojo’s conversation also explored her complicated family history, including her father’s struggles with addiction, which ultimately led to his tragic death at 40. She opened up about growing up with her grandmother, who had a mixed Delta and Igbo heritage, and the significant delay in meeting her mother, which didn’t occur until she was seven years old.

In her own words, Iyabo Ojo recounted her traumatic experiences: “I was raped five times in my life. I’ve come to realize that there are many rape apologists out there. I want to make it clear that I will not tolerate this behavior from anyone, not even my own son. I will speak out against it unapologetically.”

She also reflected on her past relationships and family dynamics: “I’ve never met Naira Marley before, and the only time I felt a sense of lack was when I insisted on marrying someone, which led to a rift between my dad and me.”

Iyabo Ojo’s story is a testament to her resilience and determination to rise above her turbulent childhood and traumatic experiences. By sharing her story, she hopes to inspire others to speak out against rape and support those who have been affected by it..
