ICYMI: Full Rankings and Winners at 2023 Ballon d’Or Awards

It was a night of glamour and glitz as football met lifestyle at the 2023 Ballon d’Or Awards. The annual ceremony is one of football’s biggest prizes having started in the 1955/1956 season.

Argentine World Cup-winning captain Lionel Messi was the biggest winner of the night as he claimed the Men’s prize for a record-extending 8th time, while Spain’s World Cup-winning midfield maestro Aitana Bonmati won the women’s prize.

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s superstar artiste Rema performed his award-winning global hit track ‘Calm Down‘, becoming the first ever African Artiste to perform at the Ballon d’Or ceremony.

Men’s Ballon d’Or: Lionel Messi

 

Women’s Ballon d’Or: Aitana Bonmati

Best Men’s Club: Manchester City

Best Women’s Club: FC Barcelona

Yachine Trophy: Emiliano Martinez

Kopa Trophy: Jude Bellingham

Gerd Muller Trophy: Erling Haaland

Socrates Award: Vinicius Jr.
