Niigerian singer Portable has revealed that he is undergoing treatment for mental health issues at a psychiatric hospital in Abeokuta. This comes after he was declared wanted by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly assaulting three government officials.

According to reports, Portable’s father was approached by the officials at a bar, and despite initially claiming his son was unavailable, Portable later appeared with a firearm and led a group of thugs in a violent attack on the officials.

In a social media post, Portable claimed he was set up due to his support for a local politician and stated that he has a medical record at the psychiatric hospital to prove his mental health issues.

The singer’s revelation has sparked a mix of reactions, with some expressing concern for his well-being and others questioning whether his mental health issues excuse his alleged violent behavior.
