Mudashiru Obasa, the impeached Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, has declared that he has resumed his position as the head of the parliament.

Speaking on Thursday after arriving at the Assembly complex with police and State Security Service personnel, Obasa insisted he remains the Speaker.

“I’ve resumed, and I remain the Speaker of the Assembly,” he stated. This marks his first return to the parliament since his removal on January 13.
