The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially closed registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). A total of 2,030,627 candidates successfully registered and are set to participate in the exam scheduled for April 25, 2025.

JAMB had previously announced that registration, which began on February 3, 2025, would end on March 8, 2025, with no extensions granted. In its weekly bulletin released on Monday, the board confirmed that preparations for the annual examination are now in full swing.

The total number of registered candidates does not include those who will be taking the exam at foreign centers. Additionally, 200,115 candidates signed up for the optional mock UTME, set for April 5, 2025, while 630 candidates registered for a trial mock examination on the same date.

JAMB also highlighted new measures implemented to curb examination malpractice and uphold the integrity of the process. The board revealed that these innovations have already led to multiple arrests of candidates attempting to use forged A-level results for admission.

Candidates have been advised to strictly follow examination guidelines and avoid any dishonest practices.
