Dr. Ejezie Emeka Rollas (MON), President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), has announced that the suspension on film producer Adanma Luke has been lifted.
Adanma, who produced Another Side of Life, was affected by the tragic death of Junior Pope and four other crew members during filming.
Pope alongside 4 others died on April 10 after they fell into the River Niger in Asaba, Delta state on their way to the movie location.
The announcement was made in a statement issued by the guild’s scribe, Abubarkar Yakubu.
The statement also noted that the AGN President has also lifted the ban on filming in riverine areas but reminded members to adhere strictly to the safety standards outlined in the AGN bylaws.
We recall that like AGN, the Association of Movie Producers (AMP) announced the immediate suspension of Adanma Luke in April.
Recall that Luke is the producer of the upcoming movie in which the late actor Junior Pope was supposed to feature but tragically died in a boat accident.
In a statement signed by its national president Queen Blessing Ebigieson, AMP said that a nine-man committee has been set up to investigate the activities that led to the death of Junior Pope and others.
The statement also added that Adanma has been advised to suspend all work, “pending on the submission of the investigations report and the final decision is taken.”
