The Supreme Court has dismissed the motion filed by Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party to introduce fresh evidence to the Court, to prove that Bola Tinubu submitted forged documents to the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Justice Inyang Okoro who delivered ruling said since the Presidential Election Petition Court has no jurisdiction to entertain fresh evidence, the Supreme Court also has no jurisdiction to accept fresh evidence.

Citing section 182 of the Electoral Act, Justice Okoro says Atiku failed to apply to the court to amend his petition to bring fresh evidence against Tinubu.
