Kano Government Rejects Tinubu’s Tax Reform Bills

The Kano State Government has strongly opposed the tax reform bills proposed by President Bola Tinubu.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, represented by his Deputy, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, announced the state’s stance during the 2025 celebration at the Filin Mahaha, Kofar Naisa open theatre.

In a statement issued by the deputy governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Garba Shu’aibu, Gwarzo stated:
“This tax reform bill is not the solution to our economic challenges. Kano State stands firmly against any policy that negatively affects the welfare of our people.”
