The Katsina State Government and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), led by the state chairman, reached an agreement on Friday evening regarding a ₦70,000 minimum wage adjustment, successfully preventing the planned strike set for December 1.

The agreement was signed by Abdullahi Garba Faskari, the Secretary to the State Government, along with other officials, while the NLC chairman and union leaders signed on behalf of the organized labor.

The new ₦70,000 minimum wage is set to be implemented in December 2024.
