Labour Party Says Peter Obi Won’t Get Automatic Ticket for 2027 Election

The Labour Party has made it clear that Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra State, will not receive an automatic ticket to contest in the 2027 Presidential election.

According to Newsone Nigeria, the party emphasized that all positions, including the presidency, governorship, and others, are open for competition. This clarification comes after Obi, who was the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in 2023, left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the party.

Obiora Ifoh, the Labour Party’s National Publicity Secretary, confirmed this stance during a conversation with DAILY POST over the weekend, stating, “No political party gives automatic tickets, all positions are up for contest.”
