The Lagos Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court sitting in Ikeja has sentenced the founder of iReign Christian Ministry, Feyi Daniels, to life imprisonment for raping a church member.

The court also sentenced Feyi Daniels to 3 years in jail for assault. The judge held that both sentences are to run concurrently.

The trial judge, Rahman Oshodi, found the Lagos-based cleric guilty of rape and sexual assault of a female worshipper. The court ruled that the prosecution had successfully proven all the ingredients of rape under section 260(2) of the criminal laws of Lagos state, 2015.

Justice Oshodi however discharged the cleric of a second count of allegedly raping another church member at his home in 2020.

The court ordered that Feyi Daniels serve his jail term at the Kirikiri Maximum Facility where he is currently detained.

His name is also to be registered in the Sexual Offenders Register maintained by the Lagos State Government.
