Lagos Police Nabs Leader of Notorious Killer Gang

The Lagos State Police Command has apprehended Wasiu Akinwande, one of the most-wanted hired killers in the state, popularly known as Olori Eso, and aged 44 years. He was nabbed during a well-planned tactical operation code-named ‘Silence, Speed and Surprise’ in his hideout in the Agbado area of Ogun State.

According to a statement issued on Friday by the spokesperson of the state command, Benjamin Hundeyin, Akinwande has been terrorising Mushin and its environs in recent years. He is behind several killings, and was caught with multiple sophisticated firearms, magazines, ammunition, dagger, walkie-talkies, and international passports.
