Lagos Speaker Mudashiru Obasa Impeached Over Corruption Charges

The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has been impeached by 32 members of the assembly.

His removal follows allegations of corruption, financial mismanagement, gross misconduct, and abuse of office.

Obasa is accused of spending N17 billion on a gate for the assembly complex, a move critics have labeled excessive and fraudulent. He also faces accusations of mismanaging constituency funds and projects.
