Lagos State Government Announces Upcoming Launch of Red Line Rail Project

The Lagos State Government has announced that its Red Line rail project will begin commercial operations on October 15.

According to a statement released by Kolawole Ojelabi, Head of Corporate Communication at Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA), the project is on track to meet its scheduled launch date.

LAMATA’s Managing Director, Mrs. Abimbola Akinajo, confirmed the development.

The Red Line rail project is the state government’s second rail project, aiming to enhance transportation infrastructure in Lagos. The October 15 launch is expected to provide residents with additional commuting options.
