Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has taken to social media to call out her former friend and colleague, Eniola Badmus, following a dramatic altercation at the premiere of Owambe Thieves, a movie directed by Eniola Ajao.

The confrontation, captured in a now-viral video, shows Laide visibly agitated as Eniola arrives at the venue. Laide charges toward her, shouting heatedly, while Eniola chooses to walk past without engaging.

Shortly after the event, Laide posted a screenshot of a private message from Eniola, who accused her of sharing a photo without consent and exhibiting “terrible animalistic behaviour.”

In her fiery response, Laide didn’t hold back:

“I gave you the first major role in your life when no one wanted to associate with you because of your ugly looks and obesity. I spent my own hard-earned money on an ingrate like you; all you could pay me back with is to call me an animal? Haaa! ENIOLA! Almighty God will judge you, Insha Allah. You have started what you can’t finish, and I promise you, you must collect.”

Laide claimed she had supported Eniola early in her career when others rejected her due to her physical appearance, and expressed disappointment in how she was allegedly repaid.

This isn’t the first public fallout between the two. In 2023, Eniola shaded Laide’s outfit, sparking another online war of words. Laide accused Eniola of never celebrating her achievements, while Eniola fired back by reminding her of past insensitive comments.

Interestingly, just weeks ago, the actresses appeared friendly at an event in Abuja, where Laide praised Eniola, calling her a “big girl” and a “once upon a time friend.”

Their latest feud has reignited fan interest in the long-running rift between the two Nollywood stars.
