Men of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), the Lagos state Emergency Agency (LASEMA), and the Lagos state fire service today put up an act of bravery as they prevented a fire explosion after a tanker fell on Stadium Bridge inward Ojuelegba in Surulere.

This was disclosed in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of LASTMA, Adebayo Taofiq. According to the statement, the accident occurred as a result of brake failure.

He noted that the agencies were immediately called to the accident scene to prevent a fire explosion, and helped to secure the area from residents who had gathered to scoop the petrol content off the road.

Meanwhile, the driver, Sefiyu Adamu was arrested and handed over to the Police for further investigation.
