Lateef Adedimeji reveals he was paid as low as N4,000 for movie roles in 2014

Nigerian actor and director Lateef Adedimeji has shared a revealing account of his early days in the film industry.

In a recent episode of the “Deep Dive” podcast hosted by Teju Babyface, he disclosed that he was significantly underpaid for his work, receiving as little as N4,000 (approximately $10) for lead roles in 2014.

Despite this, he viewed this period as a valuable learning opportunity.

Lateef’s pay increased to N100,000 to N200,000 (around $250-$500) per movie role in 2015, marking a significant turning point in his career.

His candid sharing highlights the challenges faced by actors in the Nigerian film industry, particularly during the early stages of their careers.

Through his dedication and passion for his craft, Lateef has overcome these challenges and achieved success in the industry.
