Legendary Actor, Bill Cobbs Dies at 90 years of age

Legendary actor Bill Cobbs pass away at 90 years old.

The announcement of his death was made by a family member on Facebook. “We are saddened to share the passing of Bill Cobbs. On Tuesday, June 25, Bill passed away peacefully at his home in California.

A beloved partner, big brother, uncle, surrogate parent, godfather, and friend, Bill recently and happily celebrated his 90th birthday surrounded by cherished loved ones.”

The post continued, “As a family, we are comforted knowing Bill has found peace and eternal rest with his Heavenly Father. We ask for your prayers and encouragement during this time.”

Best known for his roles in “New Jack City,” Bill Cobbs was born on June 16, 1934, in Cleveland, Ohio. Before finding stardom, he served in the Air Force, worked at IBM, and sold cars for a living. When he was in his 30s, Cobbs decided to pursue his acting career and moved to New York City.

Throughout his career, he has appeared in over 120 movies and television shows including “Good Times,” “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “Night At The Museum,” “Demolition Man,” and so much more.
