Liverpool FC suffered a 3-2 defeat against PSV Eindhoven in their final group-stage match of the 2024-2025 UEFA Champions League on January 29, 2025. Despite the loss, Liverpool secured the top spot in their group due to other results in the competition.

The match, which featured a heavily rotated Liverpool lineup, saw debutant Amara Nallo receive a red card. The Reds had several key players rested ahead of upcoming fixtures, and their loss did not affect their position at the top of the group.

Liverpool’s defeat marked the end of the group phase, but they had already ensured progression with their strong performance earlier in the campaign. The team will now turn its focus to the knockout stages of the tournament.
