Moises Caicedo’s stunning volley denied Ruud van Nistelrooy his first Premier League win as Manchester United’s interim head coach, securing a 1-1 draw for Chelsea at Old Trafford.

A lackluster first half gave way to drama in the 70th minute when Robert Sanchez fouled Rasmus Hojlund in the box. Bruno Fernandes stepped up and converted the penalty, sending United ahead.

However, Chelsea responded swiftly through Caicedo’s clinical first-time volley into the bottom-left corner, silencing the Old Trafford crowd.

The draw propelled Chelsea into the top four, surpassing Arsenal, while Manchester United climbed to 13th. The result comes amidst United’s transition, with Ruben Amorim confirmed as the new manager on Friday.
