In recent developments within the Nigerian entertainment industry, Mary Gold, the manager of comedian Ganiu Morufu, popularly known as Ijoba Lande, has publicly sought forgiveness from him. Her apology pertains to her involvement in events leading to allegations of infidelity involving Lande’s estranged wife, Darasimi, and actor Babatunde Tayo, known as Baba Tee.

Mary Gold expressed remorse for introducing Darasimi to Baba Tee and for permitting activities in her residence that have been perceived as inappropriate. She has appealed to Nigerians to intercede on her behalf, seeking Lande’s forgiveness. Additionally, while apologizing to Baba Tee for bringing Darasimi to his house without prior notice, she voiced her displeasure over his initial denial of the incident, understanding it as an attempt to protect his reputation.

This apology follows a series of revelations where Darasimi admitted to participating in a ‘Truth or Dare’ game at Baba Tee’s residence, during which she sat on his lap but denied any sexual intercourse. Conversely, Baba Tee confessed to a brief sexual encounter with Darasimi during the game, attributing it to the influence of alcohol. He has since publicly apologized to Ijoba Lande for his involvement.

In response, Ijoba Lande has indicated his willingness to forgive his estranged wife for the sake of his conscience but has firmly stated that reconciliation is not an option. He emphasized the importance of forgiveness while maintaining boundaries to prevent recurrence of such incidents.
