Mele Kyari Reflects on Journey from Almajiri to NNPC CEO on 60th Birthday

Mele Kyari, CEO of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), marked his 60th birthday on January 8, 2025, by reflecting on his journey from an Almajiri pupil to leading Africa’s largest energy company.

Kyari expressed gratitude to Allah for his remarkable life path and thanked former President Muhammadu Buhari and President Bola Tinubu for entrusting him with key leadership roles at NNPC. He acknowledged the support of his family, mentors, colleagues, and friends, attributing his success to their guidance and sacrifices.
