Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, Slams Atiku Abubakar as “Serial Loser”

Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has sharply criticized Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s 2023 presidential flagbearer, labeling him a “serial loser” due to his repeated electoral defeats.

Wike’s remarks came in response to Atiku’s statement commending Rivers State’s resilience during the local government elections. Atiku praised Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s commitment to the people’s interests.

However, Wike countered that Atiku’s own losses in the 2019 and 2023 presidential elections demonstrate Nigerians’ rejection of him. “You contested and failed woefully; Nigerians have rejected you,” Wike said.

Wike questioned Atiku’s relevance in politics, emphasizing that his multiple failures at the polls underscore his lack of support among Nigerians.
