Minister Reveals EndBadGovernance Protests Have Caused N500 Billion in Economic Losses, 21 Deaths

Dr. Doris Uzoka Anite, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, has disclosed that the ongoing EndBadGovernance protests have resulted in an estimated N500 billion in economic losses.

In a statement shared on her official social media handle, she expressed deep concern over the lives lost and widespread destruction caused by the protests.

According to her post, the protests have led to:

– N52 billion worth of goods destroyed

– 21 reported deaths

Dr. Anite emphasized that the looting and destruction have severely impacted businesses and entrepreneurs nationwide, hindering economic progress.

She urged for peaceful and constructive dialogue, saying: “The loss of lives during the protests is heartbreaking. My thoughts are with the affected families. Let us honor those we’ve lost by working towards a more peaceful and constructive resolution.”
