Mohbad’s Death: Managers Issue Statement Addressing Controversies and Clarifications

The circumstances surrounding the death of Nigerian music artist Mohbad, continue to be enshrouded in uncertainty and unanswered queries.

In a recent communication shared via his Instagram account by his management team, numerous updates and clarifications have been provided to address the persisting misconceptions and miscommunications encircling his passing.

Issued on January 15, 2024, the statement underscored the ongoing collaboration with authorities to ensure transparency and closure for all concerned parties.

It was disclosed that the Police authorities had conducted an investigation, and the autopsy results from samples sent abroad were pending, expected to be shared after a few months.

Moreover, the statement tackled the dissemination of false information, specifically debunking the existence of a will or any thumb-printed document, as erroneously reported. It was stressed that neither members of Mohbad’s management nor his lawyer had conveyed the existence of such a document to any family member or the public. The statement urged everyone to desist from sharing false and misleading statements.

Additionally, Mohbad’s Instagram managers revealed that all accounts owned and managed by him during his lifetime were promptly subjected to a Post No Debit order on September 12, 2023, and this restriction remains in effect. They disclosed that the accounts would be appropriately handed over to the family upon the resolution of the internal dispute.
