The mother of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, Abosede Aloba, has made a distressing plea for urgent assistance following the alleged abduction of her younger son, Adura.
According to SaharaReporters, Adura was taken on Wednesday afternoon by unidentified armed men, suspected to be police officers, as he was leaving the Magistrates’ Court in Ogba, Lagos.
A family source told SaharaReporters that Adura was in court over a legal dispute involving a phone he sold to Damola Ayinde. The case also involved actor Yomi Fabiyi, Damola Ayinde, and others.
Adura had accused them of hacking his TikTok account through the phone and using it to damage his reputation.
The family source said, “Damola tried to misuse the phone’s social media account, which he failed to log out of, in an attempt to extort Yomi Fabiyi.
“A forensic analysis of the phone has been conducted, and the court is continuing its investigation.
“But after today’s proceedings, Adura and two others were taken away by unknown individuals believed to be police officers.”
Mohbad’s mother, who is unaware of her son’s current whereabouts, has called for public intervention, urging Nigerians to help her.
In a video obtained by SaharaReporters, Abosede was seen weeping inside a vehicle, lamenting that her son had been taken away by unknown individuals.
Speaking in Yoruba, she accused Yomi Fabiyi and one Sam Jojo of orchestrating Adura’s abduction, adding that her son is unwell.
She claimed that Fabiyi, Jojo, and their lawyer had been pleading with her earlier that day, but she insisted the matter was already before the court.
“Please help me, people of God! It’s Yomi Fabiyi. They’ve taken my son, and I don’t know where they’re taking him.
“It’s Yomi Fabiyi and Sam Jojo who took him. My son did nothing to them. Dear Nigerians, please stand by me.
“They must not harm my son. They must not beat him—he is sick.
“The real culprit has already confessed. They’ve been begging me since this morning, even their lawyer pleaded with me, but I told them the case is already in court—there’s nothing I can do.
“Demola, you’ve put me in trouble. Mohbad’s spirit will fight you.”
Adura had earlier demanded a public apology from Fabiyi, Ayinde, and others, accusing them of hacking his TikTok account and attempting to ruin his reputation.
He vowed to take legal action against them for invading his privacy.
Previously, SaharaReporters reported that Adura had filed a N1 billion lawsuit against Fabiyi, citing serious allegations, evidence tampering, and fraudulent actions that falsely implicated him.
Multiple attempts by SaharaReporters to contact Yomi Fabiyi for his response were unsuccessful, as he neither answered calls nor replied to text messages.
Efforts to reach the Lagos State Police Command also proved futile. The Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, declined calls, and a text message sent to him remained unanswered as of the time of filing this report.
