Omowunmi Aloba, widow of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has agreed to undergo a DNA test to confirm her son Liam’s paternity.

This decision aims to resolve the dispute sparked by Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, who publicly questioned Liam’s paternity.

Omowunmi’s lawyer, Kabir Akingbolu, revealed that she initially hesitated due to intense pressure from Mr. Aloba and online critics exploiting her grief. Akingbolu accused Mr. Aloba of orchestrating a smear campaign against his daughter-in-law and grandson.

By taking the DNA test voluntarily, without a court order, Omowunmi demonstrates her commitment to protecting her son’s dignity and Mohbad’s legacy. This move may bring closure to the paternity speculation surrounding Liam
