Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, remains unburied 18 months after his death, and his widow, Wunmi, has made a public plea for his burial.

On March 12, 2025, Wunmi took to Instagram, expressing her anguish over the prolonged delay. She mourned her late husband, recounting the challenges of raising their son, Liam, alone while dealing with the unresolved situation.

In her emotional message, Wunmi called on Nigerians to help her appeal to Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, to bury his son. She accused her father-in-law of deliberately keeping the singer’s body in the morgue—not out of grief, but for the attention and financial benefits he has been receiving.

“To the general public, I am pleading with you, help me ask my father-in-law to bury my husband. There is no reason, no justification for why his body is still lying in the morgue after all this time,” she wrote.

She further alleged that Joseph Aloba is intentionally delaying the DNA test he previously demanded, as prolonging the controversy ensures continued public sympathy and donations.

“He is also delaying the DNA test he demanded so loudly. He does not want the truth, he wants the conversation to continue because as long as it does, the money and support will keep coming,” Wunmi stated.

She concluded her post with an emotional appeal, urging for Mohbad’s burial so he could finally rest and their son, Liam, could find peace.
