Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi, has accused her father-in-law’s power of attorney, Ayodele Famuyiwa, of allegedly threatening her and her son, Liam.

In a post on her Instagram page, Wunmi claimed that Mr. Famuyiwa, who resides in the U.S., made threats against their lives. She stated that if anything happened to her or Liam, he should be held responsible.

Her statement read:

“Ayodele Famuyiwa has threatened to take Liam out of the way. He’s my father-in-law’s power of attorney. Nigerians, please help me beg my father-in-law to do a DNA test, if not for anything, for the sake of Mohbad. I’ve been ready since 2023. I just didn’t have the courage to speak up because of how he has used the media to attack my son and me. Liam doesn’t deserve to go through this.”

Wunmi further alleged that the delay in conducting a DNA test was preventing Mohbad’s burial.

“He knows that once the DNA is done, he will have no choice but to bury my husband,” she said.

Addressing questions on why she is speaking up now, she explained, “It took everything in me to get to this point—seventeen months of relentless bullying. The strength I have gathered wasn’t easy to rebuild.”

She also lamented that Mohbad’s body remains in the morgue, saying, “My husband deserves to rest. There’s no genuine reason why he is still at the morgue.”
