Mojisola Miranda Sworn In As New Speaker After Obasa’s Impeachment

Hon. Mojisola Miranda of Apapa State Constituency I has been sworn in as the new Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly following the impeachment of Mudashiru Obasa.

Miranda, a former Chief Whip of the 40-member House, was immediately appointed after Obasa’s removal on Monday.

The impeachment came amid accusations against Obasa of multiple statutory and financial violations involving over N40 billion.
