The management of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Ogun State, has announced the indefinite closure of the institution, effective Monday, 13th January 2025, until further notice.

The closure follows a protest by students, sparked by the school’s decision to verify the National Diploma results from their former institutions. Students are also protesting alleged tuition fee increases and delays in the mobilization of Higher National Diploma students for the National Youth Service.

A statement issued by the Polytechnic’s Public Relations Officer, Yemi Ajibola, emphasized that the closure aims to ensure the safety of lives and property on campus.

The management also reiterated its zero tolerance for fraudulent results and urged students to stay away from the campus for their own safety.

Parents and the public will be kept informed with updates as the situation develops.
