Jose Mourinho has been fined and sanctioned by the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) following his criticism of VAR official Atilla Karaoglan after Fenerbahce’s win over Trabzonspor.

The victory, secured by Sofyan Amrabat’s stoppage-time goal, was overshadowed by Mourinho’s frustration with two disputed penalties awarded to Trabzonspor. He claimed VAR officiating unfairly favored the home team.

The TFF ruled Mourinho’s post-match comments unsportsmanlike and harmful to Turkish football’s reputation.

The disciplinary actions include:

– A £20,178 fine

– An additional £1,300 fine

– A one-match ban, restricting access to the dressing room and touchline

Mourinho’s statements were deemed contrary to sportsmanship, ethics, and fair play principles, prompting the TFF’s action.
