Nigerian actor and comedian Adebowale Adedayo, better known as Mr Macaroni, has condemned Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Toke Benson, for assaulting a man.

In a viral video shared by Sahara Reporters earlier today, Benson was seen attacking a man who attempted to record her. Reacting to the incident, Mr Macaroni took to Twitter to express his outrage, criticizing the commissioner for her actions and questioning her sense of entitlement.

He wrote, “Dear Mrs Toke Benson, who do you think you are that you can’t be recorded? Ok, Commissioner? And so what??” He further criticized her for asking, “who is paying your salary,” adding, “Is it your money?”

The comedian expressed his disbelief at the commissioner’s behavior, calling it “outrageous” for her to threaten to break a citizen’s phone. He also mocked another woman heard in the video asking, “do you know who you are talking to?” asking, “Who are you?”

Mr Macaroni concluded by pointing out that holding a political office in Nigeria should not elevate individuals to the status of “Lord and Master” over citizens.
