A man identifying himself as Alhaji Ibrahim Balogun has made a public plea to Nigerians, alleging that global music icon Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, is his biological son and has “abandoned him to suffer in Benin City.”

In a heartfelt and emotional video making rounds on social media, the elderly man—speaking in both English and pidgin—appeals to fellow Nigerians for support and attention to his plight. “My name is Alhaji Ibrahim Balogun. I am the biological father of Wizkid. Nigerians, please come to my aid. My son is a billionaire but he has left me here to suffer, with no help, no support. I live in Benin City under very harsh conditions,” he said.

The video has stirred public interest and triggered a wave of mixed reactions online. While some social media users have expressed sympathy and called on Wizkid to address the claim, others remain skeptical, citing the lack of documented connection between the man and the internationally acclaimed artist.
