Simi Oluwaseyi, the sister of Naomi, the estranged wife of the Ooni of Ife, has shared an update on her sister’s arrest, highlighting serious health concerns.

Reports indicate that Naomi was arrested following a tragic stampede in Ibadan, which claimed 35 lives.

Through a series of Instagram posts, Similoluwa expressed her condolences to the families of the deceased children and raised alarm over her sister’s deteriorating health condition.

She disclosed that Naomi collapsed during an interrogation by the Department of State Services (DSS) on the third day of her detention and had to be hospitalized.

Similoluwa also revealed that a medical examination prior to Naomi’s court arraignment showed her blood pressure was critically high. She further noted that Naomi had been denied access to both her phone and her family throughout her detention.

In her words: “I extend my deepest sympathies to the families of the children who passed away. My sister was detained for more than six days, collapsing on the third day during DSS interrogation and being rushed to the hospital.”
