The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has made a significant seizure, discovering an underground storage facility containing 11,786 pills of tramadol, mally, rohypnol, and diazepam, as well as 64 bottles of codeine syrup.

The cleverly concealed storage space was found in the bedroom of Muhammad Warnos Abdullahi, located on Marwa Coastal Road in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. Abdullahi had taken extensive measures to avoid detection, digging the storage deep into his room and covering it with a padlocked iron slate, a rug, and finally his mattress.

NDLEA officers raided Abdullahi’s home on Friday, October 25, 2024. The agency’s Director, Media & Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, announced the discovery in a statement released on Sunday, October 27, 2024.

This bust marks a significant milestone in the NDLEA’s ongoing efforts to combat narcotics in Nigeria.
