The National Examination Council (NECO) has released the 2023 Senior School Certificate Examination internal results.
According to the Registrar of the examination body, Prof. Dantani Wushishi, the result summary shows that 61.60% scored five credits, including English and Mathematics, while 84.68% had five credits, irrespective of English and Mathematics.
A total of 1,205,888 candidates registered for the exam, while 1,196,985 candidates sat for the exams.
Exam malpractices
NECO disclosed that 93 Schools were found to be involved in whole-school (mass) cheating while 52 Supervisors were recommended for blacklisting due to poor supervision, aiding, and abetting during the examinations.
NECO chief, Wushishi said that the erring schools will be invited to the Council for discussion after which appropriate sanctions will be applied.
