Nicolas Jackson Celebrates 50th Chelsea Appearance with Brace in 3-0 Win at West Ham

Chelsea secured a convincing 3-0 victory at West Ham on Saturday, with Nicolas Jackson stealing the show on his 50th appearance for the Blues. Jackson scored twice inside 18 minutes and provided an assist for Cole Palmer as Chelsea cruised to their third league win of the season.

The Senegalese forward opened the scoring in the 4th minute, combining with Jadon Sancho before firing past Alphonse Areola. Sancho, making his first start since May 2023, claimed his second assist in as many matches.

Jackson doubled his tally with a composed finish after latching onto Moises Caicedo’s throughball, bringing his Chelsea goal tally to 21.

West Ham’s woes continued after the break as Jackson turned provider, setting up Palmer for Chelsea’s third goal.

The defeat piles pressure on new West Ham coach Julen Lopetegui, who has now suffered three losses in the fledgling Premier League season. Chelsea, meanwhile, have secured all three of their league wins on the road.

Other Saturday fixtures include Manchester United’s trip to Crystal Palace and Liverpool’s clash with Bournemouth.
