Speaking during the RCCG monthly thanksgiving service, Pastor Adeboye emphasized that prayer remains a crucial force in shaping the country’s destiny. He addressed skeptics who question the impact of spiritual intercession, saying, “Some say, ‘You’ve been praying and fasting — where is the result?’ I laugh. If we had not prayed, Nigeria would have been in a far worse state. Let’s not stop.”

Adeboye further highlighted the divine protection over RCCG, citing miraculous incidents where church structures were spared from disasters. He urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in prayer, asserting that God’s intervention is essential for national progress and stability.

During the service, his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, led a heartfelt prayer session for Nigeria’s leadership, asking for divine wisdom and mercy upon the president and government officials. The event also honored security and paramilitary forces, reinforcing RCCG’s commitment to spiritual intercession for the nation’s peace and protection.
