Halima Abubakar has filed a lawsuit against Emeka Rollas, President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), in response to her suspension from the guild.

The AGN alleged that Halima spread false information and engaged in a smear campaign against colleagues and industry professionals. However, Halima maintains that she is being unfairly targeted.

Her legal team, P.D. Pius & Associates, sent a letter condemning Rollas’ statements as defamatory and damaging to Halima’s reputation. The letter noted that Halima, a respected figure in the entertainment industry, is currently battling health issues.

The lawsuit seeks:

– Removal of the defamatory post

– Public apology from Rollas

– Three billion naira ($7.5 million) in damages

Rollas has seven days to respond or face further legal action.
