Caroline Ejibunu, a skilled Nigerian hairstylist, is set to attempt a new Guinness World Record (GWR) for creating the highest number of hairstyles in a 24-hour period. The event, called the ‘Hair-a-Thon,’ will take place on December 4 at City Walk 2.0, Ademulegun Road, Ondo State.
Known as Carolaura, she explained that the event aims to celebrate creativity, endurance, and innovation within the beauty industry, highlighting Nigeria as a center of talent and ingenuity. She also confirmed that the Guinness World Records organization has granted her official approval to proceed with the attempt.
“The Hair-a-Thon is more than just a world record attempt—it’s a celebration of creativity, resilience, and the limitless potential of African artistry,” Carolaura said in a statement.

Whether you’re a beauty enthusiast, community supporter, or a brand seeking impactful visibility, the Hair-a-Thon promises to make a lasting impression on Nigeria’s creative scene.
Currently, there is no Guinness World Record for the most hairstyles created in 24 hours, but the record for the most consecutive haircuts in 24 hours is held by Nabi Salehi of A&N Style Hair Studio in London, who completed 526 haircuts on June 4, 2011.
