The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) announced that the national grid is back online following a brief disruption Saturday morning.

According to TCN’s General Manager, Ndidi Mbah, engineers at Jebba resolved the issue by isolating a faulty current transformer and reconfiguring the busbar arrangement.

The problem began when a current transformer exploded at the Jebba substation, triggering protective measures to prevent further damage.
