Nigeria’s Sports Minister arrives CAF headquarters for AFCON 2027 hosting bid

Nigeria’s Minister of Sports Development Senator John Owan Enoh has arrived in Egypt along with representatives of the Nigeria Football Federation to bid to host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.

In a post on X(formerly called Twitter), John Enoh said he will be attending the CAF executive committee along with other countries bidding for the tournament.

Nigeria which had previously hosted the AFCON in 1980 and co-hosted with Ghana in 2000; is launching a joint bid with Benin Republic for the 2027 edition.
