Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has publicly apologized to the Theater Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) and its president, Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr. Latin.

Back in 2021, Nkechi and fellow actress Iyabo Ojo openly criticized actor Baba Ijesha, who was accused of defiling comedian Princess’s foster daughter.

This stance led to tension with TAMPAN members, including Yomi Fabiyi and Lege Maimi, who opposed their outspoken condemnation. Following the controversy, veteran actor Jide Kosoko announced a ban preventing TAMPAN directors from working with them. In response, Nkechi ridiculed the association’s actions, labeling it as lawless and questioning its authority.

A month after the incident, Nkechi apologized for her comments, acknowledging that she had shown disrespect toward Jide Kosoko and TAMPAN.

Recently, during the Celebrities Entertainment Awards in Canada, Nkechi took the stage to express her apologies to Mr. Latin and TAMPAN. In a circulating video, she is seen on her knees, holding a microphone, and addressing the association with a renewed sense of respect.

Days prior, Nkechi shared a cryptic post, affirming that she would continue to rise above negativity and wishing well to those around her. She also called out two-faced behavior within the industry, urging her peers to stop badmouthing others. On a positive note, Nkechi declared she was entering a new chapter in her life, aiming to make this year all about financial growth.
