Nollywood Mourns the Loss of Veteran Actor, Charles Olumo (Agbako)

The Nigerian entertainment industry mourns the loss of legendary actor Abdulsalam Sanyaolu, popularly known as Charles Olumo or Agbako, who passed away on October 31, 2024, at the age of 101.

The Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) president, Bolaji Amusan (Mr. Latin), announced the sad news on Instagram, stating: “#tampanglobal regrets to announce the passing of Pa Charles Olumo Sanyaolu (Agbako). Details of the burial arrangements will be shared later. Rest in peace, father (25/02/1923 – 31/10/2024).”

Fellow actor Jide Kosoko also paid tribute: “Good night, Baba Charles (Agbako). You lived a fulfilling 101 years. May your legacy endure. R.I.P.”

Agbako celebrated his 101st birthday earlier this year, leaving behind a remarkable legacy in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
