The Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has reaffirmed his political stance, declaring himself an indispensable asset in ensuring President Bola Tinubu secures a second term in office.

Speaking during a live media chat in Abuja, Wike dismissed any notion that he is a liability, emphasizing his unwavering commitment to the success of the current administration. “I’m not a liability; I’m an asset. Whether you agree or not, I’m an asset. Whether you like me or not, it doesn’t change the fact—I am an asset, and I will ensure Tinubu wins a second term,” Wike stated.

Wike, a former Governor of Rivers State and a prominent figure within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has faced criticism for his alignment with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). However, he remains steadfast in his position, asserting that his contributions to governance and political strategy make him a key player in Nigeria’s political landscape.

The FCT Minister also addressed concerns regarding his continued membership in the PDP, stating that his influence within the party remains unshaken. “Nobody can push me out of the PDP. I have made more sacrifices for the party than those accusing me of anti-party activities,” he remarked.
