Sonia, the ex-wife of footballer Odion Ighalo, has publicly asked him to retrieve his bride price.

Sonia revealed her father solely sponsored their traditional wedding, which Ighalo’s family failed to attend despite prior arrangements.

She stated that Ighalo’s family disrespected her father and elders, wasting resources on a planned farewell party.

Sonia demanded Ighalo send representatives, specifically his brother or Sir Clement Ighalo, to collect the bride price.

Her post reads: “Make plans to collect your bride price… Your family didn’t turn up after I planned a lovely farewell party… My father was the sole sponsor of our traditional marriage… Please send your village representatives to collect the bride price.”

This public request escalates the tension between the former couple.
