Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has expressed profound gratitude to God following a life-threatening health crisis that left her battling for survival.

In a heartfelt Thanksgiving post shared on Instagram on Thursday, the renowned actress recounted her ordeal, detailing how she underwent emergency surgery to remove her gallbladder after experiencing severe back and chest pains, relentless vomiting, and excruciating stomach pain.

Reflecting on her recovery, Omotola described it as a fight for her life and emphasized the importance of gratitude in the face of life’s challenges.

She wrote:
“Happy Thanksgiving! Please join me as I thank God for life and good health… Have you ever been told by a doctor, ‘There’s nothing more we can do at this time,’ and you still feel like you’re dying? A read…

The actress revealed she had been rushed to the emergency room three times in a single week due to her worsening condition. Despite receiving treatment for high blood pressure and acid reflux during earlier visits, her symptoms persisted. After attending a screening for Gladiator 2, Omotola realized her condition had worsened and sought medical help once again.

Upon her third admission, a series of scans revealed her gallbladder was severely dilated, requiring immediate surgery.

“So the fight for my life began,” she wrote, adding that her recovery is a testament to God’s grace. She urged her followers to take a moment to be thankful not only for life but also for the gift of good health and a sound mind.

Omotola concluded her post with a powerful reminder:
“Whether you’re in the US or not, there’s so much to thank God for. Take some time to join in and give thanks. God is good.”
